Re: Slingshot UFO

I am relatively new to foiling. I’m just beginning to gybe. I have Slingshot SST’s in 6 and 8 together with a 4m Ghost. I weigh 64 kilos. I’m very interested in the UFO but have no experience with a strutless kite. I would like to hear and perhaps see more (video evidence) of this style of kites wat...

Re: Slingshot 2017 SST vs 2018 SST?

Noticeable difference between 2017 and 2018 is that they’ve dropped the word ‘Wave.’ Although renowned for being a superb performer in the waves this kite is also perfectly suited to free ride and foiling. Some good deals to be had on the 2017 vintage through www.kingofwatersports.com

2016 Ride Engine Hex Core with carbon rope slider. Best harness I've used. www.rideengine.uk has them on sale.

Re: Slingshot Wave SST for 2017?

What weight are you Al and what board are you riding? I haven't experienced riding conditions to date that'll test the low end of either the 7 or 9 SST's I have on demo. If anything I've been in over powered conditions with both. At 64 kilos and riding a strapless 5'6" board they drift nicely, turn ...

Re: Ozone Enduro for waves ?

Another vote for Ocean Rodeo's Prodigy kite. I have 7 and 9.5. Lovely, easy to fly straight out of the bag and with superb wind range, top and bottom end. For me with a surf board starting out in the waves it has good drift and upwind ability. I'd like to try their dedicated wave riding kite, The Ro...

Re: Best Roca vs TS - which one to choose?

The Roca would be the ‘best’ all round kite. I hazard a guess for foiling too (finally spell checked!)

Re: OR Rise or Razor for beginner

The Ocean Rodeo Prodigy is a really nice, easy to use, re-launch and stable kite with great top and bottom ends. I have 7 and 9.5 m at 67 kilos. I use them more and more now with an Ocean Rodeo Mako Duke kiteboard 'strapless.' I'm having a lot of fun with this set-up!

Re: Slingshot Riders

Thanks for the positive response so far. Will be looking at the 2018 kite and planning on a further, more in depth demo very soon. In so far as the Converter set-up goes can anyone give their input here?
