Re: some proper Wave foiling with a Kite

... Define what wave foiling properly is? Is it trying to copycat surfing with a device that is never going to ride like a surfboard? .... I don't think getting power from the wave really counts. You can do that without a kite and I doubt it is possible to depower the kite enough to be purely wave ...

Re: Foil - wave riding

Here is some video from todays session at Flag Beach. I am still having to spend too much time and energy keeping the kite flying to to go for the really tight and aggressive turns I want, but I think I am close to figuring out some mods to my ReoV5s to make it work. The weight of the Noir Matter Q...

Re: Got my hands on the Quark!

I rinse it every time as soon as I get out of the water. Still seizes up. -- Gunnar I sent them a message on Facebook asking if its alright to use a little lubricant on the joint. Their answer was one word: "Yes". I'm about to add a little Tri-flow. Thanks. That is a great idea. Probably silicone g...

Re: Ozone Explore V1

Went out landboarding with mine yesterday. Have to say it was a blast. Have not been on a landboard in almost a decade.

Re: Got my hands on the Quark!

https://www.facebook.com/kitechino/videos/263233024390602/ Every time I get mine wet it seems to be slightly blocked the next day. I need to force it a bit, but then it works fine after. -- Gunnar Make sure you rinse in in fresh water after you use it. Better to rinse it before you force it. Forcin...

Re: Foil - wave riding

To be clear. I want a kite that I can park and forget about and just rip the wave. I do not want to be actively flying it. -- Gunnar That sounds like the BWS promo line 5 years ago "surf the wave, not the kite". From what I saw, they were the first to aggressively market the "surf kite", with maxim...

Re: Foil - wave riding

Try a BRM Cloud ...... they are so light, they just drift backwards like a feather. I have. They don't work for me. Same problem as with other kites, but with the added minus of them inverting the Sail when I stall them to keep the kite in the middle of the wind on the wave. To be clear. I want a k...
