Re: Fuerteventura in Oct

It is pretty much impossible to say what wind we will get here in October. We have had Octobers where is has been windy pretty much all the time and we also have had Octobers where it has only been possible to kite with a normal board about 5 days. Bring all the kites you can fit in your bag. Anothe...

Re: Hello all help with rigging wipika air blast

No certainly not a joke. Thanks for replying I will certainly try basically using pig tails. It cost me nothing for kite I have nothing to really loose. The bar had no safety features at all this has been upgraded with quick release and a additional leash. Fingers crossed sounds like it will be int...

Re: Suggestions on which "neutral buoyancy" foil to get.

There are also a disadvantage of "floating foils" as they tend not to be so easy retrievable after a crash, so not always a win-win eventhough lighter is in general better yes :( 8) PF I have found the opposite to be true. With a "sinking foil", after a crash, the foil goes vertical and shoots down...

Re: GOPRO Fusion and Kitesurfing Videos, The Future of POV?

I don't think so. The Workflow is horrible. It takes ages to get the footage stitched and into an editing program and couple that with the fact that very few phones can run the Fusion App, it becomes pretty much useless. I am of the opinion that unless Go Pro can come up with a killer product soon, ...

Re: Suggestions on which "neutral buoyancy" foil to get.

Moses Onda Kite and Go Foil Kai are buoyant and will float on the surface.

Have a look at the video from 1:42 onwards. You can see the Onda float on the surface and keeping a volume board on its rail.

Re: Fuerteventura North (Flag Beach, Corralejo etc)

Thanks guys so windguru worked for you BenBen but gmb13 prefers windfinder superforecast. (my experience in the spots I frequent with windfinder is that generally it shows overly optimistic forecasts but from your experience they are quite reliable for Flag beach. Good to know!) Difference is that ...

Re: Fuerteventura North (Flag Beach, Corralejo etc)

Windguru is the least reliable forecast for the north of Fuerteventura. Check the Windfinder Superforecast or the Spanish Weather Office website. https://www.windfinder.com/weatherforecast/flag_beach http://www.aemet.es/es/eltiempo/prediccion/modelosnumericos/harmonie_arome?opc2=coo&opc3=vi -- Gunnar

Re: Rescuing A Loose Kite At Sea ...

Hi,

Yes it is. But like Toby said, you need to be careful and need to have the level to do it. If you are unsure about what you are doing, do not try it, as you might end up getting tangled in the kite.

Re: 9m Hyperlink UL loses pressure too soon

I think people have missed the point of the video. My question was: Why does the kite not fill up with water in a situation like this? -- Gunnar Quite easy answer. Because you have barely left it on the water. It is not a fast relaunch but also not a slow one. I will also add the vents avoid taking...
