Re: Wave kite foiling - preferred mast length

I ride a 30''(76.2cm) mast all the time as I find it way more manoeuvrable in waves and carving open water than the longer mast. Also way easier for shallow water take offs etc... Don't have to many issues with cavitation although obviously you need to watch your height. On a SS Hoverglide. Interest...

Re: New Foil board for plate system, which one?

Heavy is relative I guess, the Moses is 3.2kg without straps but also without tracks. The extra weight of the SS tracks is not swing weight so I doubt you would notice.

Re: New World record = 59.23 knots

Two kiters have had peak speed of over 60knots and several at over 58knots: http://www.gps-kitesurfing.com/default.aspx?mnu=rankings&Year=-&Tab=0&Gender=0&WeightClass=0&AgeClass=0&SpeedType=9 So it is possible, however, the right conditions to sustain this for 500m are hard to find. Yes more efficie...

Re: New World record = 59.23 knots

Sail Rockets achievement is absolutely incredeble, a massive journey with 10+ years of development and literally millions of dollars spent. Well done. It definately only 'sails' in one direction and can't really be call a yacht, more of a wind powered contraption. A very fast contraption. Interestin...

Re: Which new raceboard to buy?

Can't really see that what they decide make much difference. If they decide one design then the Olympic class pretty much dies before it even starts and everyone, except the one or two Olympic hopefuls from each country, will ride the way more fun and competitive open class.

Re: New Hawaiian Speed Record

yes I guess no one really cares I'm still slightly interested in who Officiates over the Hawaiian record and what the rules are governing Hawaiian record attempts etc without these things a 'record' is merely hearsay and takes away from those who have truely set records under a set of rules and cond...

Re: New Hawaiian Speed Record

Ummm is anyone else wondering on what basis this is a record? or is it just some self promotion social media propaganda. Is Damo an Hawaiian? Is the speed over a certain distance or period? was it timed with timing equipment or GPS? was it a recognized GPS? was it recognized software? I suspect none...
