Hua Hin - Used gear market

My wife and I are headed to Hua Hin, Thailand in February. We are faced with the question of do we travel light and rent gear or bring gear with us. When we went to Brazil we brought our gear and sold it the day we left. Is there a good slightly used market in Thailand? Not sure what the imports are...

Re: What is the best 2012 freestyle board?

I have been having a great time on the 2012 Blade Deuce 131x40. I came from the Slingshot Lunacy which I loved for it's amazing pop. The pop on the Deuce is great with the flex and square tip/tail. It is definitely more flexy than the Lunacy which I have noticed to be much more forgiving on the chop...

Re: First my elbows, now my knees... *sigh*

Look for the most concave you can get on a board to make it smooth on the chop. The other thing is get on the bicycle a few times a week for a couple months and you should be getting your knee built up to handle the abuse.

Good Luck!

Re: Blade Kites 2012

That proves the Fat Lady should have been spelled Phat Lady. It's not as heavy as you might think.

I weigh 160lbs and ran into the problem of being overpowered on it quite often. Definitely a great kite for the lightest winds.

Re: Epic Kites 2011

Amy and I just got back from our wedding in Puerto Rico! Of course there was plenty of kiting after the ceremony! http://i989.photobucket.com/albums/af20/olivekiting/IMG_4229.jpg http://i989.photobucket.com/albums/af20/olivekiting/IMG_4165.jpg http://i989.photobucket.com/albums/af20/olivekiting/IMG_...

Re: SS Arcane lightwind??

Hey Guys, These are the longer fins you want to check out. They are the standard surf fins from slingshot. I was on my arcane againg this Saturday. I was one of two people having a great session. One guy was on a 15m Hifi and a 138 twin tip. I was on the 12m Screamer and the SS Arcane. I had the sta...

Re: SS Arcane lightwind??

Hi Bjorn, I bought an Arcane for light wind. I use that and my 12m Screamer and can ride upwind in light wind with the best of the 14m kites and the door. It also is a lot more fun than a flat board. The large fins are nice for when the wind picks up or you take it in to surf. The thickness of the b...

Re: New Brand: Epic Kites

Got out yesterday on the 14m here in Seattle. Still amazed at the low end on these kites. Can't wait to get on the 2011 gear! http://i989.photobucket.com/albums/af20/olivekiting/IMG_3379-Copy.jpg http://i989.photobucket.com/albums/af20/olivekiting/IMG_3355.jpg http://i989.photobucket.com/albums/af20...
