Used to have a DaKine Fusion.Found it too thick, too padded, too cumbersome. I tried a DaKine Vega: a very minimal design. I think in a way you are lucky. As soon as the kite started going right rather than left, you should have punched out. If the bar had not broken, you would have been dragged in a big way
