Hey Paul.. superglue again huh? Chris, test any solvent on a small area first. I know the WT's have a 'significant' amount of filler. When I was removing paint on a homemade board I noticed my filler (epoxy resin & glass bubbles) became somewhat porus to the solvent and came away in parts with the p...

this isnt related to your question, I havent used Texalium( what is it?) but I have noticed good results at 18hg-22hg vacuum. More than that I find too much resin is wetted out. This may be useless info for texalium.. or if you are not using a gauge.. but I thought I'd pass it on :bye:

Always keep your knife sharp, salt water will naturally dull the blade. The hook blades are smaller, less likely that you can stick yourself with it and better than a knife for cutting lines but not as good for leaders. I've only had to cut my lines once and would probably recommend the knife over t...

SQ, thanks for taking the time to post an update. As I said I'm not a BEST basher, not even an LEI rider. I think you've addressed all my points. As I said on paper its an awesome design but the first product release was wanting. No one can get it perfect first time round. And any issues with fricti...

to the guy that orignally asked the quesiton, you should have a basic idea of the pro and cons by now. Please switch off as this has degraded in to the usual foil v LEI banter. While somewhat worthwhile to read it can get a little stupid. I'm still struck by Sellah's description of foil v LEI, I hav...

I bought one of these and didnt like it, I chopped it up for parts. Firstly the chickenloop on the bar I got was wicked long, along with the nice swivel I found myself struggling to reach the bar if it was up against the top stopper. The chickenloop + QR + swivel added over 10" to the setup before y...

I'd love to know how this board was riding... I suppose you've tried it already? Any comments? If you're talking about my rail fin concept, it works a treat. A real treat. Its really designed for flat water and tons of power but I've had it out in gust of 20/23mph on my pl g18 in mad chop and it ju...

Sella, you're too phucking funny.. but drinking stella... thats a little below me my friend. Red wine please. I think DT has probably made the most valid point. I fly pl foils and would recommend them for ease of use, non luff and self launch cos I aint got no fwends. However my experience of LEIs i...

Hampton, I ride ARCs which *need* sheeting. I just pop a couple of pain killers before a session now. Its an old injury.. dont know how it started probably hauling anchor when I was younger. The ARCs dont help the situation in light wind when I have to work them... but I wouldnt ride anything else. ...

Slight correction here, its a mute point and may be down to my own riding style but I dont always ride with the bar against the top stopper/adjuster strap. I'm not saying folks are wrong about not not shortening the back lines. I agree you dont have to. However if you spend a lot of time with the ba...
