Re: Xenon Boards 2012 Reviews anyone?

I took a Xenon Infra 2012 for a spin this afternoon and quite liked the way the board rode. Not too much rocker to slow it down but enough to make hard landings a bit smoother, and with the stock fins on there it gripped the water a little bit more than i'd like, but still a nice fun board to ride. ...

Re: What is involved in being a rep for a kite company?

This is taken from another forum: Darren Marshall runs one of the biggest kite schools in WA, has been a sponsored rider for years - and since his new shop (AKS) opened this year in Scarborough, he now sponsors his own team riders. This week he offered a valuable insight into what it's REALLY like t...

Re: Studio Wakeboard or Kiteboard Photography from Fstoppers

Personally, i can't stand the idea of taking wakeboarding or kiteboarding and making it static like has been done in the studio shoot. It's sterile, static and whilst the images that were produced are certainly eye catching - they're fictional. As for a recommendation for a follow up shoot, i'd stic...

Re: From Cult to Torch....

The Torch is an exceptionally friendly C-kite with heaps of depower and easy relaunch once you learn how to relaunch a 5-liner. It won't do anything that you can't handle as long as your a competent intermediate kiter. I've loaned my Torch to a mate with 6 months experience (just holding ground and ...

Re: Flysurfer speed 3 15m2 and 19m2 sweetspot?

I'm an 80kg rider on a 134x42 Nobile NHP You'll have to add a bit for your additional 20kg on top of my weight... but this should give you an idea of the range they've got. In terms of the sweet spot of each kite i'd happily use it in the powered and lit range, and i'd be wanting to put it down in t...

Re: 2009 nhp 666 pads straps

I've had '09 Cabrinha Sync's and '09 LF Comp Lace's on my '09 NHP. Can highly recommend the LF Comp Lace's (very comfy, good locked in feeling), and honestly couldn't recommend the Cab Sync's as i broke two sets of them.

Re: best waist harness money can buy

Mystic Warrior 1 has served me well for almost 3 seasons now. Never had an issue with it rubbing or chafing as i always wear a wetsuit all year round. It's just starting to get to the point that i'm considering retiring it. Most comfortable off the shelf harness i've ridden recently would be the ION...

Re: Griffin 2010 review?

I reviewed the 2010 Griffin 10.5m over on Extreme Kites after i was given it to play with. Overall very impressed with the kite. I've pasted my review below for you. ============================================== I had the chance to try the 2010 Griffin 10.5 and can honestly say whilst i won't be gi...

Re: Naish Cult 12

More back line tension needed.

Keep the bar in a bit, don't use as much of that insane amount of depower throw (use the sliding stopper), or adjust the rear lines so they're tighter.

Re: 2008 Naish Alliance 10m

Great kites that were introduced into a range that didn't need them - which is why Naish only made them for one year. The Alliance was meant to be a sigma shaped Torch but it turned out a bit softer than the Torches. Naish's mistake was that the sort of rider who wants a Torch isn't going to want a ...
