Re: Pro Limit Kite Waist Pro?

I always liked the Prolimits. I had the kite waist pro for years then when looking for a new one I found the FX more like the original kite waist pro and now I like it very much. The kitwaist pro is more rigid, the Hadlow is soft (maybe too much) and with a wider back. I tried them all and prefered ...

Re: RPM slingshot help

I have the 8. I am 73k and used it from 18knts with a TT128 no problem. So I think the 12 will complement perfectly.

Re: Plz look at the pictures and tell me if the repairs look ok

My kite was riped very similary (CB2). It was caught by a wave before I could release it.
I still didn't see the repair but would be very happy if it ends up looking like that one

Any experience on RRD 5X TS ALU board?

Hi, Couldn't find any reviews for the 136X41 rrd alu board. I want to know if it is a good board, construction, weight and lightwind performance. I would use it for very lightwinds complementing a 128X37.5 board I am 75 kgs. With my current board I start to have fun at 11 kns with a 12mts kite, but ...

Interesting
I live in latin america (Argentina, Ecuador,Costa Rica).and so many times I see great spots and have nobody to kite with. It might be a matter of time to see crowds but for me sharing is the way to go

I lived in Ecuador and been to Galapagos once for 1 week. I decided no to take my quiver and did not regret. However, it is possible to kite there. Wind is better from july to november. In Santa Cruz (Puerto Ayora) there are no easy launching sites and also many places are protected. I think Tortuga...

Hi Elvis: To forecast Bahia Salinas you have to check: 1) Windguru , but consider that if its blowing from NE the actual wind will be 80% more of what it shows. 2) Windfinder: go to forecasts, select the map for Costa Rica, when a green bubble appears SW of lake Nicaragua, it will blow 3)Buoyweather...

I'm living in Ecuador right now. There are some high altitude lakes in Argentina but i've never tried, there must be way to cold above 3000mts. I didn't feel a huge difference in the kite flying and power, but I couldn't tell because it's a new kite. What I notice is how fast I run out of air, it wa...

Altitud Kiting

Hi Today I had the chance to kite in a small lagune in the Ecuadorian Andes at 3850mts or 12600 ft!!!. Its pretty high, i was exhausted after 20mts and I live at 2500mts.. The place is Laguna Limpiapungo at the side of Cotopaxi Vulcano. It was light and gusty 8 - 12knts, but a unique experience. :bye:

We did some races here in Ecuador's local kiteboarding competition. There were 2 buoys: starting with a long downwind leg and then upwind to the start/end line. It was really fun. The most difficult for me was to go downwind with the TT, never practiced to go dead off the wind with 25+ knts. Jibing ...
