Re: The ultimate car for going to the beach

You can't beat the Honda Element. Waterproof seats and a plastic floor, plus a ton of space inside. Even if it looks like a toaster on 4 wheels.

Re: You are kiting and you see these clouds: what do you do?

Hey guys, Rick, to answer your question, pilots of all aircraft, from a small Cessna up to the size of an Airbus 380 avoid cumulonimbus (CB) clouds at all costs, I've seen some that have reached 70000ft. I've been at 45000ft flying around these things and looking up at them. We usually try to avoid ...

Re: Please Help Me - Light Wind Kite But Not Too Slow....

14m Ocean Rodeo RISE, turns as fast as 12m c-kite and has lots of low end grunt. The kites are amazing.

Re: Best is so LAME they have to buy postings.

Is BEST doing this kind of thing in other countries, or was this the brainchild of the UK distributer? It's a pretty lame way of promoting a product, here's a free hoodie, and to win a trip to our dealer meeting pimp the crap out of our kites. How about, here's a free hoodie for buying one of our ki...

Re: looking for a new 9

9m ONE would be a good choice, you can use the same bar and lines from your RISE. I have a 2007 ONE 9m for sale. It was used as a demo kite, but only flown a half dozen times. It's in perfect shape. $600.00 with the bar and lines if you're interested.

Re: Reverse Re-launch

I've reversed launched my 12m RISE off the snow in lightwind. Not that hard.

Love the video of the drift launch, thanks to whoever posted it.

Re: Boca Raton kiting

Thanks Rickl,

I appreciate your advice, I may just rent some windsurfing gear if it's really blowing. I do still know how to have fun on that. The last thing I want to do is wash up in one of the guarded areas and cause the locals access grief.

Cheers

Re: Boca Raton kiting

Is the Delray Beach area good for beginners, I have a lot of snowkiting experience, but have only been on the water a few times. I can waterstart and relaunch with no trouble. I am an experienced windsurfer and surfer as well.

The Ocean Rodeo boots are awesome, same goes for their gloves, hoods, and drysuits. They keep my toes toasty warm up here in Canada

Re: Waist Like Harness???

Try an Ocean Rodeo Session harness, it's like a waist harness but with leg straps to keep it from riding up. I've used Dakine and Liquid Force harnesses, and the Ocean Rodeo one is by far the best. It's a little pricy, but worth it.
