Re: Rebel 2010 - a league of its own

Well pleased with my new Rebel 2010s. I've mainly used the 6m and 9m on 20m lines with 09 Contact 6'1 and 12m on 25m lines with twin tip. The 6m is an amazing kite, fantastic turning, soft power, good bottom end. This a very easy kite to use in high winds, very precise and quick through the window. ...

Re: Evo 09 or Rebel 09, Confused where Evo sits in the range?

I think it is only fair to compare the 09 Rebel with the 09 Evo. The 09 Rebel does not Hindenburg (07 Rebel - yes - extra knot in front pigtail helps) I think invertion is a possiblity with all kite types - I have seen an 09 Evo invert in waves - not a flaw in my opinion. The 09 Rebel does not back ...

Re: North Rebel 09 6m and 9m wave riding machines!

Thanks for feedback Wawando. I am waiting for my 6m, 9m and 12m Rebel 09's to arrive - good to hear some more positive comments. I also tried the Evo alongside the Rebel and preferred the Rebel for waves. The Evo is very different though, so could be just that I am used to Rebel kites. Some friends ...

Re: Rebel 09 Problems?

I found the Rebel 09 and Evo 09 to be very different kites. I have used Rebels for the last two years, so I am quite tuned into that type of kite and preferred the Rebel 09 for that reason. The Rebel felt more refined to me, less bar pressure (just right) and less in and out movement of the bar duri...

Re: Rebel 09 Problems?

Anyone else had this folding problem? I'm just ready for a new quiver, mainly for waves (6 and 9) and 12 for flat water. I have tried both the Rebel 09 (had no problems) and EVO 09 and much preferred the Rebel. Has anyone else had this problem, or is it something that can be overcome with high press...

Re: North Rebel 2007

You can get a 2008 Rebel in those colours (grey and orange le). I was offered that colour when I bought my 2008 Rebels - apparently they do run the old colours on into the next year sometimes. The 2008 kites had the bungees added.

Re: North BULLET 5'10 - hasn't anyone tested it or does it suck?

I had the 09 Contact 6'1 on demo for a little while. I really liked the narrower width. Board seemed to plane and go up wind well. Very smooth turning board and holds in on bottom turn. Very nice construction, quite light. By far the best North board so far and I have owned most of them since the or...

Re: North Evo vs F-One Bandit Dos -Which to buy or neither?

I tried 09 Rebel 10m back to back with 09 Evo 9m. I really would suggest you try both types of kite before buying if you can - they are very different! You will know straight away which one suits you best. The Rebel depowers with less bar movement - the Evo has a longer throw at the bar to depower. ...

Re: C - kites vs SLE kites

I think its a fair question as kites have developed.

PAFFs answer sounds good to me and reflects what the kites are aimed at.
