Re: funboard?

hi all, sorry for the delay in response. Its a 5.5m peter lynn reactor II. New model. I believe I have enough power with it in the air. A funboard is a mix of a long board and a short board. Its around 7-8 feet and is used to learn surfing on. I am intrigued that this may work, and could be a cheape...

funboard?

Hey guys, I'm looking to mess around with a surfboard on the water. I have a 4 line 5m foil kite and will be in shallow water close to land in 12-25 mph breeze. My question is this. If I pick up a cheap funboard or long short board, is it gonna be any fun at all? I just want to mess around I'm not t...

Re: Newbie

Dollars.

Ebay is fine. Ikitesurf.com is better though.

With the trainer you don't need a board. Just buy a trainer from ebay or a kite website play with it for a few months and during that time read forums and watch videos. After that you will have a better understanding of whats going on.

Re: Newbie

First buy a trainer kite. Either a 2 or 3 meter kite will start you out nicely. If you can afford the 3 meter get that. It will give you more power and will be more fun to get yanked around on. You don't need instructions (other than the dvd that comes with the kite) for a kite that small, just don'...

Re: Thad's guide for basic beginner board

That's one butt ugly board you have there...son Congrats... Listen, I can save you some work... buy 1/2 Baltic birch ply wood... It has 9 plys, and is use by Cabinet makers to make drawers Why because it has no voids (what you were filling on the edges) so, forget the two layer thing. Do this spray...

Thad's guide for basic beginner board

This guide isn't really a guide because this board is so simple to make. What you need. - Ply wood Any type is fine, I don't even know what I used but I do know its not meant for sea water. - Gorilla glue (two small bottle) Two separate bottles is critical - Saw (jigsaw, table saw) - Sander (you don...

What psi to pump

Just wondering what everyone pumps their kite bladder to?

I have heard 12 psi for the main, any comment on this?

The reason I ask this is because my bladders bust frequently and I did not know if to much pressure was causing this.

I have a 12m kite without a one pump system.

new anti-g board

I weigh about 80-83 KG or 185 lbs.

I am about to purchase an anti-g board.

Can anyone recommend a size for me?

I usually fly in winds from 8-15 (of course not much happens at 8)

I am also just starting out.

Possible sizes

130x39 130x36 135x39 140x42

Really appreciate any advice,

Thad
