Re: What is the closest you have been to death kitesurfing?

had a real one... We were kiting with friends on a light day. One of my friends was just starting kiteboarding amongst us. We were all having fun cruising around in light breeze, flat 1m deep water. I was on my 18m² riding easily. A gust came by, I cranked my board to absorb it, accelerated in contr...

Re: Pacasmayo waves - Windsurfers have priority???

I do not have any surfing background so I may miss a point somewhere BUT, to ME, nobody owns the sea, nobody owns a wave, nobody can tell someone that there is a law to observe and to agree with even if this law is not something really legal and written in a country. Because you live near the sea gi...

homemade kite

Hi all, I just wanted to share with you that not only can we make our own boards but kites too  I have been given the plan for a depowerable 6m² open-cell foil kite which I built using Kieron Jansch technique for applying the picture onto it. The bridle is not finished yet but the kite took up ...

Re: Peter Lynn 2012 Leading Edge Inflatable Kites

Reading the blurb on PL's website, I can see nothing that makes these kites different from every other SLE kite - there's no unique selling point, other than the Peter Lynn name. Show me any kite brand in 2012 that developped any spectacular innovation? :D :D :D the last step to me was the bow kite...

Re: Peter Lynn new tube kite?

yes, this video came from the NABX expo (North American Buggy Expo). and it is the new set world speed buggy record. As for my own C-quad depowerable. I am not planning to get rich with this. I just want to make one for myself to have the fun to build it. If it flies, I will be happy, if I can use i...

Re: Peter Lynn new tube kite?

Hi all, I have been flying PL kites for years now. The C-Quad for sure is a great kite. I started kitesurfing with it (without the foam tubes...) and had great fun using it on any surface (snow, water, MTB, buggy...). I'm sure the concept can be further developped: make a search on the net for tride...

Re: Self landing safely in 6 seconds !! then "search this vi

Please feel free to comment after watching....Go on YOU TUBE and search for: 5 line system vs. 4 line system kite The only thing that really catch my attention in this video is the first minute when basically, North says that if you have a fifth line, you can drop all other safety equipment... Anot...

Re: Trick of the week by Spleene: One-Footer (Judo Air)

sorry guys but you are wrong about spleene's mistake... If you read the video, it says grab the tail of the board and pull out the left foot off the footstrap... This gives the air judo you describe... The problem comes from the rider who pulls his right foot off the strap... Obviously kitesurfing i...

Re: Light Wind $ Challenge

LIGHT WIND CHALLENGE 2011 There's a bit of debate currently about the BEST light wind kite. Suggestion: Let's have a competition, +/- cash incentive, to test light wind performance. Flysurfer reps, in particular, Teddy Bautista, seem obsessed about "challenging" people to duels e.g. www.kiteforum.c...
