I always buy unused kites that are one or two years old. i mention these two cuz i think i found not too bad deals for them....

I still use my 06 north dragon 133x36 just for chop. it's the only one my right knie doesn't complain about after 40 minutes or so.

Quick release is a very general thing to say though. It doesnt work well on bars that flag to the two front lines and only just extend the depower throw. You then rely on the ability of the kite to depower. i had a bad experience like this when i released in overpowered conditions flying an 8meter. ...
