Re: NEW Bar end design from Chinese Mold Maker

i don't think it is any good. first off it is too angled out from the bar. not good for handle passes. if you barely get the bar and slide up it, your hand will be inclined to go right off the end. a more square end is better. secondly, it looks like you're going for an "adjustable" bar end. the top...

Re: Do you wear fins with Boots?

I tried a slider last weekend and nearly ate sh*t due to fins of 1.75" (and lack of skill). fucking kook bet you were in straps too anyways - small fins give a good bite, nice tracking and improve landings. i'm mean like 1" or less, i ride 0.8" fins. take 'em off for sliders, but if your focus is a...

Re: What qualities of a board make for soft landings?

more rocker and bindings makes landings so nice.

downside with more rocker is you need more wind, but your knees will thank you.

technique too though. bend your knees and point towards the kite or more downwind.

Re: Installing Zeeko ERA system on other kites - is it possi

pretty sure SS and maybe naish had a similar system you could install on their c-kites back in the day so you could relaunch them on snow.

if you can't design a kite that relaunches easily you shouldn't put it to market.

this shit is gay.

Re: Unhooked bar/linessetup for my ckite

good question. equal line length is the same as "equal tension" which should be at the kites full power. for unhooking the best thing is to have your kite trimmed for full power. trimming your c-kite to that is very simple: with the bar pulled all the way down to the chicken loop, put the kite at 12...

Re: Robby Naish - what a legend!

taurine doesn't give you the boost - that's the caffeine and sugars. it just slows down your bodies usage of the caffeine so you don't get a huge energy high, and then crash. red bull/monster is alright in small amounts for that lil boost you need, but not good as a habit. fine if you burn the energ...

Re: Doctors on Helmets

i can understand people wanting to wear a helmet when kiting close to rocks/solid objects/etc. never would i begrudge someone for wearing a helmet, but like when teaching in open water, in a bay, where the only thing to hit is water, you don't need a helmet. also lucky kiters generally suck so much ...
