Re: can you adjust Ozone bar clamcleat position

Na i don think so. While some kites only work well with 2 inches of depower . :P i think most kites can work with more. I call marketing gimmickry on this one.ive been flying kites over 12 years and see how the constant pressure to claim a new feature every year creates these nonsensical changes. c...

Re: Drag launch tips, line tangle

Have you tried reverse launching? Some kites like it some don't. The bonus is that the lines are tight and they don't drag so there is no danger of snagging lines. Just get ready for a hotter launch. the envy rolls over so easily im not sure i'd even be able to flip it around into a reverse launch ...

Re: Why suicide leash isn't a good idea

Incorrect post topic. If he had his leash in real suicide mode, which is when the leash is placed above the chicken loop onto the centre line, then he would probably be dead or still in hospital. The cause of all his problems was not letting go of the bar and activating his primary safety. Riding wi...

Re: The Truth behind Naish Warranties

I've read the whole thread with interest. I can understand how both sides are reasoning themselves. To make everyone happy, the shop should really at least offer to pay for part of the repair for customer loyalty. Especially since the shop owner was at the beach and saw it happen. Which shop is it ...

Re: Second hand air to inflate kite (video)

Ha I said that to someone the other day at the beach who had landed due to wind picking up and I was also about to pump a smaller kite. My friend that day had to pump 3 kites, me just 2, but it would be such a good thing to be able to transfer air from one kite to another. Maybe I'm just lazy too, b...

Re: which ozone reo V3 set???

I'm the Australian importer/distributor for Ozone. Ok thats out of the way. I live in a coastal location and only ride surfboards, mostly strapped, in waves. Just received my 2017 V4 reo's and I went for 6/8/10/12 this year. Last year, V3, I had 7/8/9/10/12 (was trying to go with 7/9/12, but a team ...

Re: Ozone edge V8 stitching on leading edge

The pressure loading is greatest in a conical tapered inflated tube at the point of maximum diameter, which is where the tests where conducted. Gerrys (teabaggins) kite shows quite pronounced bulging in this area, this can only happen from overinflation as the tests have proven. Your assumption that...

Re: Don't show us your hook

Very interesting topic! It will also be a benefit for riders with shorter arms. It will also help when landing the kite to immediately release, so you will not be connected anymore and you release more times so it can become a reflex, which could save your life. Exactly Toby! Where I live I often k...
