Re: Ozone speed system adjustment

I have a 15m Chrono v1 that has developed a slight asymmetry. Trying to decide how to most easily correct it. I have done the speed system check and found it to have C lines 1.5cm short on both sides. When doing the long check as in Gunnar's video, I get B too long by Left/Right, 2cm/1.5cm and C too...

Re: 2 or 3 straps

I prefer 3 (2+1) foot hooks. I put my front foot strapless towards the middle more when riding toeside, but my front 2 are not right up against each other like on some other narrower boards. For the back foot, besides the jumping advantage from hooks/ straps you actually gain a lot more control havi...

Re: making line extensions

This one is good for shortening standard braided lines without disconnecting the bar end. No sleeving or sewing required.

Re: Spotz 4 Shark

Nice review Tone. I felt the same way after upgrading from Spotz2 to Tuna. The fuselage/ mast/ wing junction was so much stiffer that it was immediately noticeable how much more stable it was and tacks and gybes were definitely easier. I look forward to trying the Shark, but I am really happy with t...

Re: Foot Hooks Rip Off MHL Deck

Definitely use two screws minimum to secure foot hook. Not always possible without modification depending on insert block location on board. Adjustable stabilizer or mast tracks usually help make this possible.

Re: Foot Hooker Footstraps - The next generation in footstrap technology

Hopefully one can fly strapless with stance just a little narrower than normal but be able to slide into both front and rear hooks for jumping and speed by making stance just a bit wider than normal. R H I use the foot hooks the same way I use straps. Strapless you can only apply pressure down agai...

Re: Foot Hooker Footstraps - The next generation in footstrap technology

I have been designing, building, and testing my own foot hooks for several years. For me, they are the best foot attachment for anything except a twin tip, especially with booties. It took me quite a few prototypes to get to where I am now, but I am very happy with my latest sets on my foil and surf...

Re: Help - how to tack? Especially strapless

I think tacking is much easier with short lines versus long. The timing is faster and there's less of a long deliberate pause in the middle. Agree. Also easier with lighter wind and bigger kite, assuming you are sufficiently powered. You get longer duration of lift and can slow the tack down and fo...

Re: A little motor on the foil-board for swimming in/out

how are those fins? I mean can you get enough kick? They actually work great and feel more natural than the traditional ankle pivot point fins. I hope my strap modification can make them more user friendly. Another great use I realized is for foiling in directly onshore waves with light winds since...

Re: A little motor on the foil-board for swimming in/out

Did u finish your mod? Can you post how it looks after modification? I hope to get some time this weekend to complete and will post. I did some testing so far with webbing and buckles and discovered that even though the rubber straps are heavier, they are absolutely necessary in order to grip your ...
