Foils and Racing

Hi,

I'd like to know if foils are highly recommended for races. As far as i know, in a race you just have to park your kite and go, and foils are usually slower kites, so turning speed wouldn't be a problem. Why don't I see them in races?

thanks,
Diogo

Re: race board vs door style boards???

I ve been testing the Flydoor XL vs the north racing board. The door is getting on earlier and is a lot easier to control. If the wind is picking up a bit more the North racing board will get you more upwind. If you want to go for the best lightwind board to ride and have fun, I would say go for a ...

Re: 2010 Ocean Rodeo Mako line up

In "mutant mode", is the King going to be better in waves than the 150 wide?

I'm a bit concerned about the flotation of the 130. Is it designed for very light riders?

thanks,
Diogo

Re: kitewave - production boards X custom boards

Custom wave boards are "cooler", but the right production board (Naish, North etc) lasts 10x longer, though it's a bit heavier. I stopped riding customs for kiting, when I went trough a few of them in a few months. Exactly what i heard! Now i'm looking for the best production board i can find. Any ...

Re: My humble request to Ocean Rodeo

I will say though that we are confident that we already have the optimum specs dialed in for the 140 and 150 lengths...width has to be proportional to length and factor in the heavy concave....go too wide and you just end up with a board that will ride like everything else.. :lame1: Completely AGRE...
