Re: Advice on Slingshot SST sizing

You speak a lot of sense Captain! I was considering just switching out my whole quiver but I think a tad hasty not to mention expensive!! As it would happen a used 9m SST has come up for sale so I might try and get that and sell my 9m Rally. I hardly use my 7m Rally so that can wait. My 12m Rally i...

Re: Revl Arc cam: Anybody preorder one?

...Check out the shake on this official REVL video at 0.02 to 0.04. That will tell you all you need to know about the "stabilisation". ... I didn't notice much shake, but yeah, it isn't as smooth as one of those 3 gimble grips they have now. Keep in mind, though, that video was last winter. It's 9 ...

Re: Advice on Slingshot SST sizing

...I currently ride Slingshot Rallys (2014). I am now on a strapless surfboard and although the Rally seems pretty ok for my level and ability I am thinking of selling them and getting wave kites. I'm 75kg. Was thinking of the SST as I already ride Slingshot and like the quality. ... My Rally quive...

Re: Revl Arc cam: Anybody preorder one?

Tried to buy a revl but its like it doesn't exist! Its not on amazon or other online shops. Did someone forget to tell them that this is the holiday shopping season?! LOL and no reviews of the camera other than company ones and no posts from them since over a month ago that they were shipping... On...

Re: Revl Arc cam: Anybody preorder one?

Was googling around and found this cool new 360 cam. https://www.rylo.com/ 360 stabilized video, $499. Looks like it needs a housing which isn't shipping yet but it looks sweet!! to my eye the video looks as good as the go pro 360 and in one of there videos it stabilized a rollercoaster ride like t...

Re: Rideengine

Medium should work well for you. I bought a L (36" waist) and had to go to the shorter spreader bar. Next one I buy will be the M, though. Buy whatever year your budget allows. They're all good. There's another thread on here about Ride Engine harnesses that talks about pros/cons of the new version....

Re: Firewire Vader, Fins - mixing front vs rear fins

...Question: does it matter that the quad rears match the fronts; in this case should I match the quads with Reactors or could I use let's say Performers, etc? Am I even good enough to even notice such a difference is what I'm wondering, or does mis-matched fins create a clear performance issue. I ...

Re: OR Soul: is this over kill for cold water protection?

It's a great suit and it looks like that 1.0 is still available in Orange for a good price. I'd get it. It's worth it for the pee zip alone! Seriously... I'll never get another dry suit without a pee zip. It's just too much of a pain to disrobe and I hate pissing in thick wetsuits. They don't seem t...

Re: ss bar exam

Since this old topic was re-born, it's worth noting that in 2017 Slingy got away with the second auto swivel up high, and now only has the manual swivel down low. I have had both versions and liked both of them. The 2017 is more light weight because it doesn't have that large swivel up top and inste...

Re: Shoulder Replacement

What kind of shoulder replacement are you getting? A reversed total schoulder or a normal total shoulder. Most people won't be able to regain complete range of motion (90-140 degrees instead of 180 degrees). Depowering could be a problem. I'm not clear what motion he loses, but can he switch from a...
