Re: Slingshot UFO 11M

A step from 5 to 7m is a 40% increase. A gap from 7 to 9m is 29% increase. That’s why 9m doesn’t feel that much more powerful. I’ve been waiting for 10m UFO to get me to 5-7-10 quiver almost evenly spaced out in 40% size increase. ... The range of the 7M is so good, that stepping up to an 11M for t...

Slingshot UFO 11m

With the UFO V3 coming out, I realize I'm way late posting a review of my V2 11M that I got last Spring. My foil quiver was 3/5/7 UFO and a 12 Ghost. That had me foiling in most anything I wanted, but I was interested in swapping out the Ghost. No complaints with performance, I learned to foil on th...

Re: Help Connecting FLYSURFER safety to OZONE harness

...By the way another option instead of a rope and o-ring is to buy one of those chain connectors. https://static.grainger.com/rp/s/is/image/Grainger/49JU60_AS01 Oh, that looks pretty good. I suspect if I go in a climbing store I can find a fixed link like that meant to take a load. Thanks for the ...

Re: Help Connecting FLYSURFER safety to OZONE harness

Are you sure that the Ozone webbing is the leash attachment? If you're not unhooking attach the leash to the hook. Safest place when in deathloop situation. Cheers Markus, thanks for the reply. No, I'm not really sure but it is the only attachment I can find and edt seems to confirm that above. I'm...

Help Connecting Flysurfer safety to Ozone harness

I am using the Flysurfer CONNECT Control Bar with the Ozone Connect Pro Harness and could use some advise on the leash attachment. On all of my previous harness/bar combos it was usually a metal to metal connection or at least metal to loop. For instance, every harness I've owned has had a metal D ...

Re: Complete Tear ACL

When your ACL broke, that took the strain instead of something else. Next time you have the same wreck or landing, the "something else" is going to break or get fatiqued. So, no, you don't need the surgery. You can ride, jump, run, bike, etc. for many years and be happy. However, if you are committe...

Re: Stem Cell Treatment for Shoulder?

This is a good thread (if we keep the politics and name calling out of it). Yes, ultimately get professional opinions, but it's also nice to hear opinions from other kiters. Most doctors do not understand kiting. I know when I described it to my ortho he still thinks I'm hanging on to an out of cont...

Re: Stem Cell Treatment for Shoulder?

I had stem cell therapy 3 months ago in the left shoulder. I had a kitesurfing accident 3 years ago were I tore the pec and the labrum. After the surgery the follow up MRI showed osteoarthritis which is normal for such kind of traumas. Lately the pain came back and I went for another MRI which it s...
