Re: On-shore vs Off-shore wave kite

Onshore: Can't wave ride(down-the line). Side-onshore: You need a kite that has quick pivotal turns with the ability to turn/loop even when de-powered. Takes more skill to match the turns of the kite to your intended lines(path of the surfboard). Drift not as important. Side-shore: Ideal for wave ri...

Re: Bigger boost: Mono or Boxer?

I'd be interested in hearing more feedback on the Boxer for foil tho. I currently ride Pivot and Cloud with my foil. For jumping I think the Pivot kicks serious butt. For what its worth....A review on the 5 best kites for foiling (includes the Mono and Boxer) Here ya go Taut...... https://www.youtu...

Re: Cab bar with Blade Fat Lady

Any 4 line bar with low y will work. Works really well with the 23 in Slingshot bar. The low Y also makes it easy to self land. I have had that kite since the first version and have never flown it on a high y bar, so can't comment, sorry.

Re: proper etiquette

Twice recently I have been approached by other kiters on the beach that wanted to try one of my kites. One was a sponsored kiter who was doing a photo shoot. He didn't have a kite available in the size that I had in my quiver. You should have told this guy to look for a better sponsor. Maybe one th...

Re: Leaking Boston Valve

I have the same issue with a V3 Ozone Reo. The leak is coming from the top of the valve, not the base. So, it has to be from the one-way membrane that keeps the air in while pumping it up, right? I'm going to order just the red part with the membrane(less than $5) and hoping it does the trick. Am I ...

Re: How to unglue pads from a board?

1. tear off as much of the pad with your hands (the glue will still remain) 2. Place a rag over the glue(I use the yellow micro-fiber ones from Costco) 3. Soak the rag with Coleman Camp Fuel 4. let it set for 20 min or so (until the glue softens). The rag keeps the fuel from evaporating. 5. Use the ...

Re: Cabrinha Radar vs Slingshot Rally

Look at the Naish Pivot's. Great all-around kite that you can easily learn on and won't outgrow. The 2017's should be on sale. The bar pressure is lighter than the Rally's too. Just my 2c. BTW, look at the used market to see the resale value of the kites you are interested in. The used market is a g...
