Re: Control bar with shortest safety / chicken loop assembly

i just bought an airush diamond for my kids to fly. the bar comes std with a very compact CL shorter bar throw and narrow diameter bar. i believe you can buy the bar separate, worth a look

Re: Kite size choice's have I been getting it wrong?

20 knots is the magic wind speed. you can ride just about every kite in that amount of wind. just a matter of preference as to what size kite you prefer to be on.

Re: Airush 2013 Team Series

hehe sorry man couldn't resist ;)

thats good news on the low Y and backwards compatibility with the older kites.

agree 100% on the self landing benefit of the low Y - its a technique i always used till the set up was changed to the hi Y.

have a 9m wave on pre order with my shop can't wait!!!

Re: Airush 2013 Team Series

hi smidgy

i like the new bar, especially the low Y set up. any comments on compatibility with older model airush kites (lithium & varial/X 2012/11). will the low Y affect the kite performance at all?

not only are airush playing with the one strut concept but they also have the Access, a kite designed to fly on lines 12m or less. then they made that crazy no strut batman prototype kite. I think its refreshing to see airush bring kites like this to market.

Re: la nina sux for kiting here

La Nina generally causes our season to start late and finish early. The windy season is still good, fewer 30+ days though. last year i only had my 6m out a handful of times the whole season. I can use it a few times a month in a regular year. Last years La Nina we had sensational off season kiting -...

Re: Swiss does rob you for overweight!

In Papua New Guinea we are trying to encourage tourism, working with the government and the tourism department we managed to get diving, surfing and kiting equipment loaded free up to 15kgs. so you can take your bag up to 20 kg + your gear up to 15 Kg free. some guys have come here with SUP boards a...

Re: Any Airush One owners out there?

njrider: the kite is awesome, its just a little too out of the box for most people to consider as a potential new kite, then if they were interested its not an easy kite to find as most airush stockists don't hold this kite in fear they will not be able to sell it. you would have to buy without a de...

Also have the 1.4 extender which i use from time to time. i have the 300mm f4 but prefer the zoom combo with an extender as it offers so much versatility. my advise get...
