I'll answer. Matt's second track is our Friday Deer Park session. Out of Silverton. Groomed trail from Kendall Ski Hill almost to launch. North wind is/was gusty. Same wind directions work as McMillan. A dozen other equally great spots exist near here.

You can’t measure enjoyment in dollars.
It was over an hour approach with horrendous skin glopping. Heliski tracks and crown lines galore. All worth the investment though. So freakin amazing I might go again tomorrow. Anybody?

Re: Kite-o-rado Snowkite Conditions

NW wind today so I went for the top of the Bear Creek basin just below Engineer Pass. Good 10m boosting and cruising with generally nice snow. On the way home I got sidetracked in Grouse Gulch for an evening rippled powder session. So much to explore up there. For better or for worse (the later in m...

Re: Kite-o-rado Snowkite Conditions

No good action pics on the solo mish but I kited from the road to the top of the Sultan last week. Strong SSW that day, and decent snow. I'd been wanting to do it for years! This is the face I kited up. (SW face) Here I had to do a short portage thru some extremely uncooperative air currents and pes...

Re: The San Juan Swagitude Thread

Yeah wicked! Didn't take many. Too busy. Here's one of Hepp in the Tube. Had to call it 'cause my elbow was cramping so much I snagged my kite in the krumholtz on the knob below. Hepp comes by with a "Holidays are over! No tree decorating!"

Re: The San Juan Swagitude Thread

Max near Denver Basin above Animas Forks. We also went out to Mineral Point. The juicy SW wind filled in pretty well. Much untapped potential.

Re: Elevator Day at Skyline.

Well thanks a lot for the input Fern. We're in the doldrums over here in SW CO too...but lets not put too much trust in the forecast. Air wants to move around.
Keep the faith. Can't wait for more good Skyline/Strawbs sesh's.
