im looking in to buying my first kite and im wondering how big the kite should be

i live in south florida so the average wind speed is like 10 to 15 knots sometimes higher iand i weigh about 125 pounds

I am looking in to buying or building my first kite board I've been doing a lot of research about boards and i saw a lot of directional boards or boards you use to wave ride i was wondering is there any point to buy one of these types of board if you live in South Florida or is it pointless. im planning on takeing lessons sometime in the future

i live in Ft. Lauderdale any suggestions for a good spot to take lessons

my question is do u have to already have a kite and board before your lessons

or will they supply the kite and board for you?

im makeing a my first board because im alltile short on money i was thinking of makeing just a simple plywood board my question is does there need to bee a whole bunch of fancy things like foam core, fiber glass, and rocker or can i just cut a half inch thick plywood spray a cover over it strap fins...

so i wanna start kitesurfing but im alittle short on money

i already have a wakeboard. Can i just use that instead of buying a brand new kiteboard?
