Re: Long Swim In!! Flotation Device?

If you're carrying training fins in your backpack, check out shinfins.com . They're flatter and more compact than regular fins that you insert your feet into. I haven't tried them, but it seems like a novel concept.

Re: New to Kiting. What Type of Trainer Kite should I get?

+1 on saving the money and spending it on lessons or other kite related gear. I used mine for 1 hour in the beginning and haven't gotten it out since. Can't even give it away - I've tried. Did I learn kite control from it? Maybe only trainer kite control. But that's not what you'll be using. Your fi...

Re: OT: Snowboarding with a baby?

No matter how careful you are, there is always the variable of the "other guy." Wouldn't you feel pretty foolish if your baby got hurt? What would you tell the family court judge when he asked you why you took the infant snowboarding in the first place? I've seen people skiing with the baby back-pac...

Re: Who is your favourite Old School Rider?

I think you have to define "old school" for those of us relatively new to the scene. Does it refer to a bygone age of the sport, or more to a style of riding. Enlighten us T-obi wan.

Cabrinha X-bow rear line attachment points

Just bought a Xbow IDS. The rear line attachment points have two positions. Forward for more bar pressure; rearward for less bar pressure. What does all this mean in terms of flying/power characteristics? Would I use one over the other if the wind was lighter? gustier? Will it fly closer to the ww i...
