Re: Broken Iron Heart (North)

The front brake pads on my car have worn out, it's a lot of money to replace. FFS! Considering how much a complete kite costs and or bar setup something that is plastic, in a harsh environment will wear, it will possibly crack. Just buy a replacement and stop bitching. S T U F F W E A R S O U T ! !

Re: Evo vs Vader?

I have a 5'3" Helium Evo. It's my first FW board, so can't compare. I love it, it's a really light board. I can't use it to keep a kite in place on the beach. I've put a full deck pad on it, as I find wax is too hard on my feet in the chop. I'm glad I got one, as it's an amazing board. I've kept my ...

Re: Review Airush Union III 9m

Thanks for this review, davedej Do you think this kite would also be good as a wave kite? Can you tell us about how was it on the surf? Thank you in advance. Best, Chus My GF has a 9m Union III she rides a TT and I have a 2018 10m Wave riding surfboards. The Union is ok in Waves, but not as good as...

Re: Airush wave kite hindenburg

Agree with Peter, back lines too tight. Push the bar away and the kite will fly forward again. Plus, what was the wind speed was it enough wind for the kite size? Maybe not enough wind and back lines too short = you kite backstalls the lines really are all exactly the same length when you pull the b...

Re: What are best wetsuits for winter windy extreme conditions?

Another vote for an xcel here. I used to love my O'Neil suits, but have found the xcel's much, much warmer.

Another thing to consider on cold days, get a wind proof top, they help a lot.

Re: Modern wave kite

Hi OP, Hands down the Airush Wave. Used to ride some revs...but AGES ago. They are apples and oranges to be honest. You have plenty of surf experience so with the modern wave kites you will have an absolute joy. The response of the kite, turning speed, the upwind ability and how your kite feels lik...

Re: Modern wave kite

The Original Poster has kited from 2002 to 2007 - according to his post and profile. Any modern kite is going to relaunch instantly based on his point of reference and background with 2, 4, and 5 line kites with C-kites and Bridled SLE kites. I prefer try gear on stock standard. The Core Section 2 ...

Re: Modern wave kite

What happens when the wind drops? Will the Airush wave get you out of a sticky situation and will it relaunch instantly? If you want instant relaunch then it's delta all the way. The Waves are pretty good at relaunch, but you do need some wind. Only time I have issue is when it gets swamped by a wa...

Re: Modern wave kite

You're welcome. The Airush Wave isn't an av allround "wave" kite. It's a Wave kite, that can be used with a TT. 2017 was definitely more Wave orientated over previous years. And it shows. To me your comment makes it sound like it's a delta style of kite and it most definitely is not :) (or am I bein...

Re: Modern wave kite

I've not tried the Core Free or Session. But the Airush Wave had some small changes over the years. My first 9 Wave was a 2013, really, really nice kite. Nice drift, pivotal turning, without pulling you off. You know where it's at, at all times. Medium/Light bar pressure. Goes upwind really well. Go...
