Re: Cape Hatteras accomodation

Not sure about any one room rentals, all the houses are huge with like 10 rooms. I'd check out Watermans Retreat, it's the closest but still two bedrooms.

Re: Kite industry moving away from outside line release

You guys know it is ok to just take the OS releases off and attach your lines straight to the bar right? Sure it may add a few more cents to produce but it is worth including in case some kiters want them, that way everyone is happy.

Re: wakestyle or regular kiteboard?

It's not the boots that make it more difficult to go upwind, it is the increased rocker. Since the board sits a little deeper in the water you get a better feeling of control and it smooths out the ride a little, but that also creates more drag which makes it harder to go upwind. you can use a wakes...

Re: Has anyone been busted for hiding boards behind golf clu

I have never been charged for a board, but I've only traveled with a surf board once. I usually fly Southwest, Delta, AA and sometimes United. I keep my bags under weight and if I have one that is over I tell them right away. Usually they don't even ask what is in them but if they do I say "beach st...

Most likely power because if you are underpowered and you bear off too much you loose a lot of speed but I think there is an element of every rider being a little different in their technique.

Re: c kite sits further back in the window...

OT: I read you use RPM, how do you tune it? I have problems with my 9 meter, I feel like it has too much power when you unhook also when not overpowered...I can load it very well and get a lot of pop ( maybe too much ), but it slacks just for a little little while and then it comes back in the w.w....

Re: c kite sits further back in the window...

Ok guys come on... The only difference between a c kite and a bow/hybrid is how the kite reacts the moment you unhook. I don't agree, I think there are very clear differences in several areas. Correct, I was referring to the area of unhooked tricks. Inversely, bow/hybrid kites require constant adju...
