That's hilarious, you just described me to the tee. If it's on I don't bother, but if it's marginal I pull out the windmeter just to affirm that it really isn't gonna happen... Although I did pull it out once or twice in 40+ winds to make sure that the 4m was going to get me a ride

Not sure if you've commited to a purchase yet, seeing as how the post is a few months old, but just wanted to pipe in with my own experience... From what I've seen, smaller kites perform much better in low winds than big kites. They stay in the air much easier, granted they also generate far less pu...

Having some experience in needing to release to the 5th line on several occasions now on snow, I'd say there is a huge safety advantage to having a 5th line. I fly C-kites & I've converted all of them to use a 5th line. My leading edge lines are set up i a Y configuration, which can be a major pain ...

tsk tsk tsk.... Mr Trace, this sounds a little exclusive! What about us land kiters? Can't we come out & play too? I'll be there for as much of the weekend as the wife allows... with my skates, should be fun!
