Re: Reviews on Naish Traverse 152 for average freeride?

I got the 152 traverse and weigh 82kg 188cm tall. Got a good deal on it this summer and ride the black one. One of the earlier models I believe. I ride a mix of styles but generally more freeride. Riding for 15 years and have been through a lot of board. The board does require a bit more power, but ...

Re: Mast size problems...

Good comments above that might clarify your issue. Another thing to add here is that you use Takuma, and that they are the only brand that changed rake angles between generations of masts and different constructions. I believe the fuselage to top plate angle is something like 2 degrees offset on the...

Re: Kitefoil boosting with Gong?

Fluid 42 stab is massive, I use it myself for winging and for kiting it does feel huge. Try to take the smallest freestyle stab, it will be less lifting and thus give you less front foot pressure. And the shorter fuse length will give you a shorter upward turning radius on your pop and thus a cleane...

Re: Wingfoil is building faster than everything...

New gong and ozone developments definitely look good. Although I’m very interested in the dyneema wings from five-o and On kiteboarding. Both small Hawaiian brands, but dyneema is so strong and used in our kite lines for 20+ years because it’s so low stretch. Regarding wings getting lost @ozbungy, I...

Re: new reviews on 2021 North Orbits?

My main question would be : Do they still frontstall ? Few guys at my local have them in their quiver . I know how those guys ride and it boggles me how often their Orbit’s frontstall vs never seeing them stall and roll kites when they are on their other kites. I always thought it looked like a nice...

Re: Let's talk about our favorite kites for fast/powered riding.

If you want to go fast , go high aspect for sure. Since you already have your appolo’s why not use those ? Relaunch on a 4 line high aspect in light winds will be junk yes, but we invented a solution for that in 2006. The 5th line ! I ride on a low aspect surf foil, light wind kite is a 15m mono, bu...

Re: Axis Kiteboarding

Yes Axis make some great gear. I love Adrian’s boards, back since the underground days and still ride it to date. Foils are amazing as well and they are doing really well on the surf foil front. But their website and marketing ? Unfortunately lacking big time and I’m sure they could make a whole lot...

Re: Duotone Spirit Foil Range 2019

Hi Dan, Thanks a lot for your honest reply. I indeed hoped for some backwards compatibility to be able to “save” some of the parts and use them in future set ups. I’ll be looking into reinforcing my current fuselage with some carbon to get as much life out of it as possible then. Or will there be a ...

Re: Duotone Spirit Foil Range 2019

Nice looking new range of foils !! But I also see that the speedster range completely disappeared from the website. And that’s a bit concerning to me. They hyped their speedster massively with the carbon injection tech. Brand it unbreakable and superior etc... While the wings stand up to the use of ...
