Re: Hatteras to get another new bridge......this one sucks.

Yeah if anyone that lives in Rodathe/Waves can keep us updated on the construction that would be great. We're kicking around the idea of a last minute fall trip to Rodanthe if we can pull it off before the bridge goes in!
Thanks in advance.

Re: Nobile NHP Carbon VS Carved Imperator?

I've owned a 2014 Nobile NHP Carbon 134x42 and currently have an Imperator 6 139x42.5. Both boards are great, but very different rides in my opinion. For some reason my Nobile Carbon NHP felt very slow and didn't go upwind as well as the 2013 NHP I had the year before. The flex felt similar but the ...

That was my advice, not that I followed it. My wife looks like Sofia Vergara. Now for me, I'm just a rich old ugly fart. :D

Re: Advice from an older married kiter to a young one

Also completely agree with having the kiddos early. Empty nest at late 40s with plenty of disposable income is a beautiful thing. Couldn't disagree more. For most people. . Or at least the fifty percent that wind up divorced because they got married before they had any clue as to who they are. . An...

Re: Impending trade war: Tariffs affecting the kite industry?

Yeah you have to wonder with so much equipment being made in China that something has to give. I was just told that one of my outboard motor suppliers that is made in China is getting a 10% price incrase effective as of August 1st. That's substantial....and it will hurt our company for sure. I'm mo...

Impending trade war: Tariffs affecting the kite industry?

As much as I hate politics, I'm curious on how the tariff battle between the US and China will have any adverse consequences for the kite industry?

I'm in the marine industry and the shit is already hitting the fan....

Re: 11 or 12?

I would vote 11 as well for a filler size. 12 if it's your biggest kite in higher wind areas. People looked at us strange in Texas when we pulled out a 14m..... My 11m Pivot had more power than many 12m kites I've owned prior. The sizing is very different from brand to brand. Demo ride availab...

Re: What's the best RE harness?

I know saving a nickel here and there is a plus, but not at the expense of being uncomfortable or actually in PAIN while kiting. No way. Try as many as you can. Throw down on whatever fits and feels the best. Skimp on something else and thank me later. From my biking days guides and real deal racers...

Now we've just been nearly flooded with heavy rains so the mountain bike trails are closed and there isn't a hint of wind.

Stupid nature.... :cool2:
