Re: Which is your preferred trim system?

On year two with the Click bar and zero issues other than some line stretch. (normal) The range of bar throw is great, the auto swivel always works, the Iron Heart is reliable and just the bars grip/layout is excellent. Yeah it's a punch in the dick price wise, but it works with every equal line len...

Re: North V-Adjuster

If the Rebel is like the 2018 Evo, it's intended to be flown on the lowest setting (red) for the Y split.
(not open or low V) You can certainly try it open V, but North/Duo states the kites are designed around the high Y.

The two higher settings are for the added 5th line, if you use it.

Re: Grand Cayman - Barker's - Surf/Reef

On the East End you can launch out of Collier's. It's a nice sand beach, has sun shade and is an easy launch. From there if you ride north you can get through the reef in front of The Reef resort. They have some large posts in the water to designate the channel. Outside there can be some decent swel...

Re: Launching a kite when no one is around

Tethered launch for me. You can make sure the lines and bridle are not tangled or crossed, no debris in them and that the kite is stable on the water before running back to the bar to hook in (leash safety first). Yeah me too. Those nice wide open sandy beaches in the Caribbean are a little easier ...

Did Crazy Fly discontinue the Elite?

Don't see it on their website any longer.

Re: Naish 2019

Yeah in one of the Youtube vids Kev Langeree (SP, sorry) mentions being able to pump your kite up to 12 psi as the recommended pressure due to the new high tensile thread. Is everything else beefed up enough to handle that pressure? If yes, that's awesome. I would love to really crank the psi up on ...

Re: Hatteras to get another new bridge ... this one sucks.

Thanks FL&OBX. I do really want to stay in that Mirlo area. Cross of Honor Way to be exact. This may sound kind of silly, but I've been staying there every fall since I (we) learned to kite in '02. I'd love to rent one of the houses on the sound one more time before that spot closes forever. That st...

Re: Nobile NHP Carbon VS Carved Imperator?

Yeah if you're open to suggestions,(didn't want to hijack your thread) the North (Duotone) Jaime Textreme carbon is a great board too. I just bought one this spring in 139x42 for more of a freestyle board. It's fast like the Limited, probably the lightest board I've had, upwind is fine and really ca...
