Re: Anyone try the LiP Sunglasses (is Zeiss worth the extra $) ?

I agree that sunglasses are largely an overpriced marketing luxury item but there is a difference between the $10 Fleabay cheapos and a nice pair of Costas/Smiths in my experience. There is also huge differences in the quality of polarization. I bought a pair of $20 floater polarized glasses to kite...

I keep checking my milk carton for Dan from North......MIA
Yeah....the radio silence from North is a little unsettling.

Re: biggest regret purchase

A quiver of Switch Nitro IIs.

Worst kites ever......and I've been kiting since 2002. So I've flown a few bags.

*disclaimer - I did buy a quiver of Switch Nitro 4s a few years ago and they were fine.

Re: How dangerous is this?

Depends on a persons risk appetite. I have taken my kids for runs on the kite in a 2ft deep lagoon, but would never dream of taking them into the surf, nor would I leave them on the beach by themselves while I kite. I’m no “Dad of the year” but I put my kids welfare above everything else. ^^^^ +1

Just a head's up to the OP, should this be a ruse or joke there can be some real world consequences for posting such a thread.

Defamation and libel immediately come to mind.

Kind of surprised nobody from North has chimed in here.....
Would love to know what's really going down as a customer with current products and awaiting future purchase(s).

Re: Grand Cayman next week

Agree with kochease 110%. Barker's is fun, but East End is solitary and pristine to go cruise around. Just be warned about Collier's, if you go south of it and need to come into shore it is very rocky/nasty. So just be cautious for lightwind missions. (booties) I would add Kurt's Corner on the food ...

Re: Edge Armor Skin top

8mm of neoprene?! You should be able to live in the Arctic Ocean with that much rubber on.... I can't stand wearing too much neoprene. The added weight and constriction just wears me out faster. NP's 5mm wind skin suits are so fricken warm that when I kite among the ice bergs in the spring I h...
