Re: kitesurfing self rescue questions

Yeah, I guess that's true in most cases. In my case the lines were already tangled when I got to the kite so flagging it out was a bit uncertain. I guess you can cautiously grab one line to see if it will behave, and be prepared to let it go again, but if the kite is doing weird things, deflating i...

Re: kitesurfing self rescue questions

With regard to the don't deflate the kite thing, that applies in almost all situations, but not always. Last week we had a gusty strong day with slightly offshore winds. Re: kitesurfing self rescue questions

i've tried the wind in the lines method and find it sucks.in high winds it's hard to wind lines as they seem tentioned even when starting with one line first.you lose alot of ground. my fav way is to attach my leash to my boards footstrap then follow my safty line up to the kite. when following the...

Re: kitesurfing self rescue questions

So you're swimming leg stroke only? 1km, against 20kn of wind? pulling your arse, board and a kite? EASILY??? Hear, hear. :nono: ... Wind has dropped or gone off shore; go down one line hand over hand to the kite , leave the bar and lines out and attached to the kite, leave the kite inflated, flip ...

No lessons at all i have read on how to self rescue but i don't understand why everywhere i go it says to wind up one of the outside lines mor...

Re: Getting at the Inserts after glassing

What if you are manufacturing a board with inserts installed previous to laminating formica over them. How do you find the exact location to drill? Drill small locating holes through the formica before laminating . Use some flat head drawing pins or a couple of staples down the center line to locat...
