Re: seat harness vs waist harness

Thanks to all - appreciate the input. I do like my nitrous shorts/harness, but The only way I will know for sure what I like is to try a waist harness and see what happens. Now, I just have to research waist harnesses and figure out what to buy.

seat harness vs waist harness

I haven't been kiting in a while and as I am getting back into it, does it make sense to go with a waist harness? I learned with a seat harness, never had any issues, but I don't know if a waist harness opens up other opportunities. I like jumping and doing basic stuff. I have never done anything un...

Re: Kitesurf Old or Die!

Hey Piccio - I started at 45 too, now 50. spent the last year and a half recovering from 2 broken legs. I WILL go out again this summer. I WILL keep jumping. I WILL kite until I can't stand. As the WHO said - "HOPE I DIE BEFORE I GET OLD" As long as I'm kiting - won't be old

Re: Too much Kiting can ruin your life

GF, this is my first post in over a year, but I haven't been riding - was standing on the side of a slope in Chimbulak Kazakhstan waiting for my son to catch up to me - we were both on skis. A snowboarder came out of nowhere - hit me so hard that I came out of my bindings and did a full flip in the ...

Re: Beginner looking for advice.

Ahhh every once in a while I get reminded of why I like the KS community and this forum. Harley, all the above is good advice. Hopefully your school/instructor will have several kite brands on hand and can give you an honest comparison. Talk to kiters, ask about reliability, durability, safety (bar ...

Legitimate, act of God crashes aside, I figure the more idiots taking themselves out of the gene pool, the better.

Re: Flysurfer & Light Winds

PMU - if you are going to quote someone - do so completely. I had positive things to say about the FS SA-19. I also attributed my difficulties to pilot error and inexperience. To set the record straight - the entirety of my post is below. Whatever credibility you may have had has been lost - you are...
