Aren't most of the "pros" using a GTS for their megaloops?

Re: How if fix damaged carbon wings

The glazing compound or filler putty will leave the surface looking blotchy I'd assume since they don't dry clear. Since it's a small area, I wouldn't need a lot of epoxy. What type of epoxy would work well? I've never used epoxy before. Sanding off the entire surface to apply a new clear coat seems...

Re: How if fix damaged carbon wings

Flipping heck! And I thought my wing was scratched, that's mega scratched, but unlike mine, yours is mostly on the top wing surface, where mine are damaged on the front edge and bottom surface. That's the bottom of the wing; it's a 2017 lift wing. It's from grazing over coral reef before I knew the...

Re: How if fix damaged carbon wings

Ah yeah, clear coat is what it is. Total brain fart on my part. There's no fiber damage at all. I'll look into the glazing compound solution then. Thanks a lot for pointing me in that direction.

Re: How if fix damaged carbon wings

I have some deep scratches on my carbon wing and just sanding makes the scratched areas bigger as I'm just removing the top coat (whatever it's called) of the wing it seems. What's a good way to fix this? Would filling these areas with this six10 stuff and then sanding be a good idea? The underlying...

Re: Gummy spot on neck seal

I had a drysuit that this happened to as well and it's basically due to the rubber degrading and breaking down (I stored it poorly). As I recall, I couldn't fix it other than cutting off the gummy part of the seal, but some sections were way too big and I would have been cutting off too much of the ...

Lift foil factory after hurricane?

Does anybody know how the Lift factory held up after the latest hurricane? Their factory burnt down last year and they rebuilt and now the hurricane basically destroyed the island.... ouch!

WOO gen1 vs gen2 accuracy

Just wondering if anybody has put both the first and second gen WOO's on their board and then compared the results? Do the results differ much at all? If so, by how much? I'm not going to comment on how accurate either version of the WOO is, but if one version is fairly different than the other cons...

Re: Hello-new member in Canada

Where in Canada are you? Lot's of kiters across the country and if you've got kitable water (or snow) there should be a kiting community to watch out for you as you advance. Also lots of warm water this summer! I'm in Winnipeg and slowly getting into the local groove. Time is my major constraint. C...
