I'm usually use a 10" but is it worth going to 12" for the extra throw?
Is there a typical waist size that correlates to bar size?

Re: Recommended ankle brace for ankle sprain prevention

All good suggestions, for me the key to recovery was education. Unfortunately I didn't educate myself early enough and have some scar tissue to show for it (an ankle that looks larger than the other one) but it did lead me to active rehab and religious stretching before kiting. This article was my s...

Re: Recommended ankle brace for ankle sprain prevention

McDavid Lightweight Ankle Brace (lace up) works great! Kited with it quite a bit.

Use a bootie over it or add duct tape to the bottom to prevent wear if you are going to be doing much walking around with it.

Re: 2 questions for EH EZE users

Great light wind kite and it takes time to get used too... I seem to learn something new about this kite every time I take it out. Well said, I think the majority of people who first try the kite may be turned off by its idiosyncrasies, but if you give it some time you will be well rewarded. I thin...

Re: 2 questions for EH EZE users

I am assuming you are referring to light wind relaunch... being from San Diego I've found a few techniques that work for me. Nose Down - set to max depower, one hand on a rear (brake) line and one on the front lines. Pull a rear line until it starts to rotate and stand on a tip (sometimes you have t...

How about Cedar? I have been considering it as a core material and was wondering if anybody had some feedback?

thanks!

Re: Gear suggestions for a compact kid?

Lots of good tips here but not much mention of what kind of wind you expect to be in? The wind here is typically very light and steady (10-12mph). I started my son on smaller gear (6m Nano) and quickly discovered he was underpowered. He's 9 and weighs in at 60lbs. We spent a LOT of time out of the w...

Re: SPI Kite Round-Up Update

Great event and super location for it. Caught the last 5 days and had a blast. Turned out I didn't really have to bring a kite. Every day was a full meal buffet of kites & boards to demo. Eclipse was on the ball and always had a number of kites pumped and ready to go early in the morning. Slingshot,...

Good summary turkey! For even more detail check this link out.. http://www.thestretchinghandbook.com/archives/ankle-injuries-pt1.php I'm coming up on a year of an ankle that is still bothering me but regular rehab, always starting with and ending with stretching has been key. Balance exercises are g...

I too, was hoping someone might have "recent" experience with Continental and kite baggage.

I assume the "golf" bag is the way to go but was hoping to hear from someone with a personal experience.

thanks!
