A mini wavekiting clip

My brother shot this little film with a go pro on his helmet while taking pics. Small day but tons of fun and some nice slo motion. Lucky he was wearing a helmet in the last shot!

Re: Soloshot 3 - soup to nuts review

Great edt. Will go thru footage and cut a good one. Normally my trick clips are 12-16 seconds long. Will that be ok? I will send it via wetransfer. PM me your email address. Really excited if this works Is it the wind buffeting the camera Toby? The trouble with that kind of shake is even if you sta...

Re: Safety release on Ozone Reo

Did you hit your safety with your kite high? Always rig your kites safety line to be the top front line. Ie if your landing to the left it will be your right line. Fly your kite forward to edge of window until wing tip nearly touches and hit release and pull your safety line low at same time as tak...

Re: Safety release on Ozone Reo

It was a 12m and yes the LF bar is a single frontline safety. What should it be? Modifiable?

Re: Safety release on Ozone Reo

Thanks Jetboy. Yes it was pretty high the last time. For some reason I thought It would be better to do it higher up so it didn’t slide down the beach from the edge. The other time maybe the safety was on the bottom I can’t remember. Thanks for the tip I shall give it a go.

Safety release on Ozone Reo

I use a Liquid force mission bar with my Ozone Reos and the only two times I’ve had to release to safety on the beach, the kite has landed and remained on its back. It’s depowered but still active and I can’t get to it without it hopping away down the beach as I walk towards it. It’s been awhile sin...

Re: Ankle leash on a surfboard?

Hi Matteo, The ratio for strapless riders using a leash here in proper waves is 10/10. Even some of the strapped guys do it, as loosing the board can have dire consequences (I will get back to those). Here is some more info in Fuerteventura. We have a pretty similar setup to Maui here. The Canaries...

Re: Ankle leash on a surfboard?

You don't want to get rolled with your board attached to you. Body dragging back to your board thats washed up on the beach will take you all of 2 minutes if indeed it has gone all the way in which it usually doesn't. If you are kitesurfing in front of a dry reef or way out to sea its another story ...

Re: Toeside strapless tips

+1 on moving back foot really close to front foot. I find putting the back foot closer to the rail than the front foot helps too. Also don't lean with your upper body. Instead try thrusting your hips forward and down 45 degrees in direction you're heading. Good practice for another pursuit too... I ...
