Re: I'll have to change my name now North Kiteboarding is no more..

I hope to something like ION KITEBOARDING or TRUE KITEBOARDING , that’s the best way i think and for sure sounds better than DUOTONE :angryfire: I agree with that. :thumb: +1. From a marketing perspective I would use a brand out of the portfolio which already has equity. For me ION would be the clo...

Re: Naish Dash - is it good for beginner?

If you are looking for used Pivots you could have a look here: https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-naish-pivot/k0 Or put your request on the German forum here: http://forum.oase.com/forumdisplay.php?f=51 I think you could progress on the Dash, Pivot would just be easier. And you will not outgrow tha...

Re: What's the best waist harness?

Concerning Ride Engine I have heard more good than complaints...I would try a waist harness with a stiff shell. For me that was a revelation compared to conventional harnesses. There are a number now with different characteristics in terms of how much the stiff part wraps around the torso, e.g. Prol...

Re: Pivot Unbaised Review. Good Kite For Surf?

There are dedicated wave kites out there which also jump pretty good. Naish Slash for example or Slingshot SST. I use my 7m Slash with my TT and it is a lot of fun.

Re: New TT - Regular Raptor/ Naish / North?

I think the Mega was the predecessor to the current Drive which is the carbon version of the Motion. For me the Motion is pretty high performance already and very comfortable to ride (73kg). Have a look on YouTube for the review of the current Motion by REAL watersports. He rates the Motion higher t...

Re: Kitesurfing holiday Germany/ Denmark

As Onda said officially you need to stay on a camp site overnight. In St. Peter and Sylt there are camp sites directly at the kite spots (you might need to walk a bit or do a quick drive). There are many on the Danish west coast ( don't know about the Baltic Sea side). I am not much of a camper but ...

Re: Kitesurfing holiday Germany/ Denmark

Not sure how much sightseeing your family and you want to do, but you can take a 2 hours train from Hamburg to Berlin. Berlin as the capital is Germany‘s largest city and a very exciting place (maybe you can arrange leaving your kitesurfing gear in Hamburg). My favourite budget hotel chain for city ...

Re: Kitesurfing holiday Germany/ Denmark

Don‘t forget a full wetsuit. Weather can vary, but it is never boardshorts and hardly ever shorty weather. I mostly use a 4/3 or 3/2 full suit in August. Traveling to the North of Denmark I would take my 5/3 with me as well.

Re: Kitesurfing holiday Germany/ Denmark

If you want to travel around Denmark a camper van might be a good idea. There are not many hotels, at least on the west coast. People usually rent holiday homes at the coast and the minimum duration you can rent usually is a week.
