Re: What's Up With Naish?

There is also a 5-strut Aluula big air kite prototype in the media and a new bar. I am curious when they are going to launch it.

Re: Reedin HTF vs Supermodel V3

I have not ridden the Supermodel but do ride the Naish Pivot, which is supposed to feel very similar (e.g. see the latest comparison of the two by Kite Mana). I have tried tried my kite buddies North Orbit (22 and 23 model) several times. As mentioned above the bar feel will be quite different. Supe...

Re: Sorry, your used gear is worth nada

Yes, could be. On the other hand a company like Gong, which has really focused on winging, is going to launch 2-3 new kite models after a long time not investing in that segment. As it looks this also includes a 5-strut kite and a TT, so they want to cover that side of the sport as well. Here in Nor...

Re: Kite Obidos Portugal (Marz April)

Wind in March/April will be a matter of luck. The wind system in Portugal (trade winds from the North) usually runs May to end of August.

Re: Tenerife vs Majorca?

I would say in general Tenerife, which is basically El Medano, has much more reliable wind (trade wind system) and much stronger wind. Mallorca is probably more versatile for the family. Difficult to compare. I have been to both a couple of times. Mallorca for me would be family focus with kiting as...

Re: Tarifa mid october

Have been to Tarifa regularly in October over the past 10 years, usually for 8-10 days. Wind is a bit of a luck factor. I think on the average I had 50% days with wind On windless days we did a bit of longboard surfing (if there are waves) or SUP. For 50€ flights it will be great couple of days anyw...

Re: Bar for Naish Pivot

I hope so. There was a new bar visible on some Insta stories of team riders. Single PU-Line with Auto-Rotation (like Reedin and Eleveigth. The interesting bit was that the PU-Line went through an extra part in the eyelet which let the bar move vertically, so that the PU-line does not stick on high a...

Re: Peniche Portugal or somewhere else?

I‘d say if you want to kite in waves, Guincho (close to Lisbon, which is nice) is the windiest and most reliable spot in Portugal in summer. It is a classic wave windsurf spot for mainland Europe. Been there so many times as a windsurfer in the late 80ies/early 90ies. June can be epic, probably the ...

Re: Kitesurf spot Portugal

Windy season in Portugal usually is May to End of August. The „Nortada“ is the starting point of the summer tradewinds and blows along the Portuguese coast from North/North West. From my experience it is not that strong on average but gets accelerated at certain spots and increased by thermal effect...
