Re: Azores, Guincho In Early July

Wind in Summer in Portugal is called Nortada. It blows from the Northwest and is the starting point of the trade wind system which also blows on the Canary Islands. Generally it is a light breeze all along the coast but gets accelerated by mountains and thermal effects especially in Guincho and I th...

Re: Azores, Guincho In Early July

Early July is top season for Guincho, but there is no 100% guarantee if there is wind for a couple of days. Conditions can range from mellow to nuking, choppy to 2-4m waves. If it is too rough you can go to Costa Caparica. If there is no wind go surfing. Bring a 3/2 or 4/3 full suit, water is cold.

Re: Follow the Wind in north-west Europe.

In Germany it will be both, locals and visitors as holiday season starts. Northwest coast of Germany (North of Hamburg), St. Peter Ording is the main spot. Sylt is more beautiful and gives you more options concerning wind direction and there will be a lot less people on the water. On the Baltic Sea ...

Re: I'll have to change my name now North Kiteboarding is no more..

I hope to something like ION KITEBOARDING or TRUE KITEBOARDING , that’s the best way i think and for sure sounds better than DUOTONE :angryfire: I agree with that. :thumb: +1. From a marketing perspective I would use a brand out of the portfolio which already has equity. For me ION would be the clo...

Re: Naish Dash - is it good for beginner?

If you are looking for used Pivots you could have a look here: https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-naish-pivot/k0 Or put your request on the German forum here: http://forum.oase.com/forumdisplay.php?f=51 I think you could progress on the Dash, Pivot would just be easier. Re: What's the best waist harness?

Concerning Ride Engine I have heard more good than complaints...I would try a waist harness with a stiff shell. For me that was a revelation compared to conventional harnesses. There are a number now with different characteristics in terms of how much the stiff part wraps around the torso, e.g. Prol...

Re: Pivot Unbaised Review. Good Kite For Surf?

There are dedicated wave kites out there which also jump pretty good. Naish Slash for example or Slingshot SST. I use my 7m Slash with my TT and it is a lot of fun.

I think the Mega was the predecessor to the current Drive which is the carbon version of the Motion. For me the Motion is pretty high performance already and very comfortable to ride (73kg). Have a look on YouTube for the review of the current Motion by REAL watersports. He rates the Motion higher t...

Re: Kitesurfing holiday Germany/ Denmark

As Onda said officially you need to stay on a camp site overnight. In St. Peter and Sylt there are camp sites directly at the kite spots (you might need to walk a bit or do a quick drive). There are many on the Danish west coast ( don't know about the Baltic Sea side). I am not much of a camper but ...
