Re: What's the worst thing about kite surfing?

Wind is always on Monday. Best day is Wednesday and on Thursday is starts to die, slowly slowly, but it starts to pick up on Sunday late afternoon. Unfortunately you have early shift by Monday. I know every trick the wind plays. I thought, hey you are not stupid. Get yourself a foil. Now I am facing...

Re: Another DIY foil

Off topic. I'm considering a 1000 mm x 1500mm for milling soft materials. Using the OX system. I have a heated garage. Cnc costs about 18-25k euros...it's a fairly steep investment in money and time. Doing reading and research this year in preparation. Tom, good question, possible that you have a s...

I go about 1/2 that speed for good results.
Hell that is slow. It would take me ages to get my stuff printed. What printer are you using ? Did you ever made tests what your printer can handle?

Hi Kosta
What print speed are you using? I printed the spitfire from 3dlabprint and it took a while to get that to print well. Its very difficult since its a 1 perimeter outside to keep it light enough to fly.
Hi,

5200mm/min in S3D.

All this has a super steep learning courve.

tks

Re: Another DIY foil

Found out that I have printed by mistake the wrong files for the second wing set. Not all off them luckily. The correct files are another 62 hours, 46 to go. There are days I hate that shit big time. This is one of them. On the other hand, this is the first time I print with dampers, printer - desk,...

Re: Custom Kiteboard Full Carbon

Greetings I ordered by mistake some years ago 0/90° carbon. Both mold injecetd boards broke within 2 week period. I learned this lesson well. When you look on a glider wing, 90% of the outer/inner shell is made out of biax carbon. Every thing that is not able to flex under heavy load, breaks. I have...

Re: How to fix delaminating Brunotti

Hi, trust me, your hair will turn grey with this. Your girl will tell you that you are too stupid to fix this small ding. No one will hug you when you come after shift, no kisses, your sex live will turn out into a disaster. Take that in consideration. The foil is treated chemical to bond on the bla...

Re: How to fix delaminating Brunotti

Hi,

dump it. The foil is a part of the structure. It will turn out in an on going story. You will invest in fancy glue's, invest in time, sanding paper and the results might be good, but no guaranty.

Boards are not made to be used for decade's.

tks

Re: Another DIY foil

Hi guys, I imported that 105 profile and started modeling in SolidWorks. I'm wondering if you modify the profil att the tip. It seems really thick there compared to my Moses if I just scale it to fit my cord at the tip. I'm scaling in both Axis. I would not use it. You have to look for profiles tha...
