Re: Repairing North Airstyler

If its the valve that's started to come away try reattaching it with aquaseal. If the seam has come apart then it's virtually impossible to repair, I've tried with aquaseal and stormsure, but within a couple of sessions it's come apart again. In the end I gave up and stuck a folded up 16" bicycle in...

Re: Is this worth fixing?

Thanks for the links. Will do some research and work out best way to approach this. If I decide to tackle it myself I will post some pics of my dubious efforts, should be entertaining.

Re: Is this worth fixing?

I'll probably give the fix a go, though not sure how to approach this with a bamboo laminate. I've tried to attach a couple of photos of the damage, what I cannot capture is the slight distortion across the whole width...

Is this worth fixing?

Just after a bit of advice. Landed my surfboard pretty badly last week (Slingshot Screamer) resulting in a crack in the left rail mid way along the length of the board and a slight fold in the bamboo laminate on the base. The glass is also showing stress marks across the width of the board in this a...

Re: Modern Type KiteSurfboards

I ride the screamer 5'2 (last picture). Great board. Ride it strapped mostly as I like to mix things up a bit, surfing, boosting, rolling etc and its great for this. This is certainly my primary board of choice now, can't remember the last time I used the TT... Of course if you get any type of surfb...

Re: Liquid Force FDC 5'7 - Cabrinha S Quad 5'7

Thanks for the reply. I must admit I thought the FCD seemed a bit narrow in the specs and you have confirmed this. The S Quad maybe the way to go for me I think.

Thanks again.

Hello all,

Just wondered if anyone who has used the above boards could share their views on how they perform in small - medium wave conditions; build quality etc .

Thanks in advance

Re: Is it worth buying a smaller surfboard

Thanks for the replies. These are 2012/2013 Crazyfly boards aka Takii 6.0 and Taurin. 5.8. Just wanted to know if I would feel a real difference going to the smaller board. Looking for snappier turns, maybe a bit more airtime but no so fussed about that. Tend to ride in wind blown mushy waves around...

Is it worth buying a smaller surfboard

Hi, been riding a 6ft 19.5 inchsurfboard for a while now and loving it. I now have an opportunity to get its smaller brother @ 5'8 and 19 inch . Question I have is, is it worth it? Will I notice a lot of difference? For info I tend to ride strapped and weigh 196 lbs, 89kgs.

Thanks!

Knee arthroscopy - meniscus tear

Just wondered whether anyone has had one of these done? I have had some discomfort with my left knee for a while (bad twist from a failed rotation!); particularly noticeable after a session on the sea. MRI showed a torn meniscus and consultant advises a knee arthroscopy, essentially a keyhole surgic...
