Re: Good luck Caribbean and South Florida

Heart goes out to everyone devastated in the Virgin Islands. Looks like Anegada will survive. Massive destruction on Tortola, Gorda, Bitter End, Necker,JVD. Wonder if Sandy Spit is gone. These are some of the most beautiful locations I've ever had the chance to water kite. The locals have a long roa...

Re: Kite-o-rado Snowkite Conditions

Mid June in the San Juans. Still some patchy snow left but maybe only north side kiting from here on out. Anyway, it still beats liquid.

Re: OR Rise or Razor for beginner

Agree completely. I love my 12m Razor but you have to "stay ahead of it". 12m Flite is amazing and will help a beginner stay upwind. Nothing wrong with a 12m Prodigy either.

Re: Kite-o-rado Snowkite Conditions

The last storm has helped to keep things covered at Lizard Head. The snow is still pretty fun. The wind today on the other hand, yikes! I am a connoisseur of junky wind and let me tell you this stuff was dog balls. One second the kite would fall out of the sky, the next second a gust would literally...

Re: Tips for Ragnarok?

Hey Capt, Yeah, it's a BIG course! I think The limited number of finishers is by design to make the event pan out as "hardcore". They cut us mortals off at 5 hours. I think with another 2 hours and a buncha redbulls I could have limped in with 5 laps. The top guys like Gurke were out there going SO ...

Re: Tips for Ragnarok?

Ragnarok was a blast! Beautiful day on the Hardangervidda plateau with winds clocked up to 44 knots. Being a part of 350 kiters screaming off the start line towards the goat rodeo known as Gate 1 was unlike any kiting moment I've ever had. That place is the perfect kiting playground on a scale that ...

Re: Kite-o-rado Snowkite Conditions

Mickey that look like an amazing spot, nice work! My afternoon work break today was a little more pedestrian but a lot of lit powered fun still.
