2006 caution answer question.

I recently picked up a 06 caution answer 9m kite ( no bar or lines ). What size bar caution bar does this kite take and what are the standard line lengths for it? Also, what is the standard wind range? I weigh 165. Thanks for any info you could give me. I downloaded a manual but not sure this info i...

Re: Omega line length question

"Btw, I thought when someone buys a new kite, the wind goes away for a few days. Wtf? I suppose a 20-40mph cold ass north wind is almost as frustrating!" I know dude, I'm freezing my ass off! :o Isn' it supposed to be spring or something? From what I've read it seem like most Omega owners prefer to ...

Omega line length question

All-righty... I just got a '07 Cabrinha Omega 12m. It has 15m + 7m lines totalling 22m. I am wondering what will happen if I choose to take off the 7m lines and fly it with only the 15m lines. I am a beginner still in the body dragging stages. I will be riding on lakes that have very little or no be...

Re: '07 T2 14m or '07 Ozone Instinct Sport 13m Help

The two most important factors to me at the moment are water relaunch ability and low wind pull. For reference: When I say "low wind" I mean 8-12kts, gusty, inland, mountain lake. So when the wind lulls which kite will stay in the air better or, when the wind lulls and the kite falls out of the sky ...

'07 T2 14m or '07 Ozone Instinct Sport 13m Help

I am trying to choose between these 2 used kites. It will be my lightwind kite and I'm 165lbs (75kg). Which of these kites has better low end? They are about the same price, the T2 is a little bit more.

Thanks

Heres the stuff I have planned next: 1) Put in some rocker 2) Stain the wood 3) Drill holes for T-nuts and fins If I want to wet the wood and use an iron on it how wet do I make it and will I hurt the wood with the i...

Re: Glassing 3/8" (9mm) marine ply?

Those are some good links! Kitehok, I'm going to be using minwax water based stain so I was glad to see it passed Wests test. Gives me a bit more confidence that I'm not f'n up my hard work! Zfennell, if someone on this forum ever puts together a list of useful links for the newbie board builder tha...

Re: Glassing 3/8" (9mm) marine ply?

Thanks for all the replies and encouragements! :thumb: I cut out the board yesterday, here's a pic... S7300888.JPG I am planning on putting some rocker in it, about 5 cm or so. Also thinking about staining it to make the wood grain really pop. I read somewhere that if you use water based wood stain ...
