Outside line connection affecting water re-launch?

Many kites (like Ozone V9) have multiple attachment choices for the outside flying lines. The claim is that it affects turning speed and/or bar pressure. But I'm wondering if it also could effect the ease of water re-launch? I'm thinking that the attachment position closest to the wing tip might hav...

Re: 2015 Sector V6 and Slayer V3

Can you explain "wouldn't bother with Sector 60 on light wind days"? Have you tried the V6 in light wind? What was your experience?

Tug Hill

I see from the weather reports that Tug Hill has at least 6-12 inches of snow. Are there sites open to snow kiting for us now? Which sites should we go to?

Re: Ozone Chrono - High Performance DePower Foil For All Sur

Where I ride water there are only very unfriendly shorelines (no beach). Do you think Chrono could be launched and landed from a boat? How would this be done?

If I were an Ozone Zephyr Product Manager:

I give Ozone credit for developing the Zephyr at a time when the market movement was telling us that big kites were dead and that everyone needed only a 12m. And the Zephyr was maneuverable and had a good top end which added to rider safety in the event of increasing wind during a session. Now the l...

Any Tug Hill sites open?

Are there any Tug Hill sites open to weekend riders? Which sites?

Hmmm, do we have to start putting a few dollars in the landowner's mailbox after a good session?

What size of Jimmy Lewis Model 3

I’m wanting to buy a JL Model 3 but don’t know what size, maybe 133 or 139cm? Advanced rider, 190 lbs [86 kg]. I want the board for specific conditions of well powered 20-35 knots in terrible chop, in fact they are more like up to 1 meter waves, very close together and with white caps. With my flatt...

Re: Do Kites Fly Better with Strut Vavles Closed?

I don't think the kite was underinflated. I always use a pump with a guage and in both cases I inflated to 7 psi. I am however dissapointed that I can't find recommended inflation pressure in the Ozone literature for 2013 Zephyr. (Ozone, where is the spec??). My other Ozone does say 8 psi and since ...

Re: Do Kites Fly Better with Strut Vavles Closed?

Interesting comment that the connection hose diameters are too small to help the main LE during a crash. But if you consider the kite as a pneumatic circuit where the connection hoses could be considered a flow orifice, and the strut volumes could be considered pneumatic accumulators, then open valv...
