Yep,

Open a new thread for bags ;)
 I don't think "use nylon not metal" needs much discussion...? The rest of bag design is almost irrelevant :D

Re: Cabrinha PU mainline depower tube

PU tubes are perfect if the lines are a tight fit with sealed ends so there can't get sand inside or the lines rub themselves to pieces. All the bad experiences come from brands like Cabrinha, where it is all too loose fitted inside the tube. If designed properly, the tube weares out before the ins...

Re: Kite Manufacturing - free feedback

Cheap zips on kite bags are a bad idea (looking at you North) Either use high quality ones or even better make a zipperless design using toggles and flaps - far more sensible! Use big plastic zips and zippers. Metal invariably oxidizes or whatever it is that it does. All the metal zippers on the ba...

Re: Cabrinha PU mainline depower tube

I dismantled mine as part of the line replacement programme. I don't do any maintenance, or washing, and treat my kit quite badly.... (sorry!). There was no sign of any sand in it and the new line threaded through really easily. My two mainlines in the black PU tube looked really worn, so if its no...

Re: The problem with flysurfer mixers.

Gunnar's method and video makes the Long Mixer Test clear up to the point of setting Z the same as C -- why? Why even 2x C? Why wouldn't you set Z to the difference it should have been in the line plan? Because the Z lines shrink at that rate. -- Gunnar Because of the geometry of the system, or coi...

Re: The problem with flysurfer mixers.

Stand on the front main or line and pull the B main till it is fully extended or fully depowered. When like this measure from the top of the A main to the top of the B main, 2 of the bits you line up in a mixer test. It should be 25cm because it is a 421 mixer, C SPL is 100cm and 1/4 of that is 25c...

Re: TT thin vs thick rails

2018 Axis boards has medium rails :D Adrian did tell me why he thinned them out -- but I can't remember :o he tried increasingly thicker rails on prototypes but they got worse instead of better. Thicker is better than thinner but there is a limit to how far you can go... I got a 2018 Limited in Feb...

Re: Rider weight versus foil classification (wind range)

What is very different is when the Moses 633 Onda set up is on the water, this changes our choice of kite size, I will now choose 1 or 2 kite sizes smaller than I would for the standard wing set up, the massive lift and crazy low stall speed allow this, so because of this people who are not up to t...
