Re: Where are all the used trainer kites? And other newb questions

It doesn't matter which kite you have if there's no wind.... :(

I need to move to the beach. Or get an RV and "follow the wind" :) :) :)

Re: Where are all the used trainer kites? And other newb questions

I don't know how to post images here yet. It's orange on the top and white on the bottom (where the lines are). It has 15 cells. I just noticed an Ozone 4 line trainer for $200 with handles on ebay. Wish I'd bought it.... I'll wait until I get a lesson before wasting anymore $$$. Looks like you can ...

Re: Quiver question (newbie)

Thanks for the explanation. Makes sense to have a few boards & a few kites to cover different conditions. The boards are probably easier to alter than the kites. Maybe somebody should consider designing modular boards? Like leaves in the dining-room table. Hey I'll call the guys on Shark Tank. ;) A...

Re: Where are all the used trainer kites? And other newb questions

I just flew a 2 line trainer yesterday for the first time. I'm inland, with no kite experience, and nobody to get lessons from here. (Charlotte, NC) I thought I wanted a small 4 line kite, but didn't want to spend $400+ for it. Since I'm beginning in an inland field, instead of a beach with steady w...

Quiver question (newbie)

Kites are expensive, so I'm sure many kiters have fewer kites than they'd like to have. Are there tricks that folks use to help use a larger kite than they should? Maybe wearing a weighted vest or maybe a smaller board, or something to use up the extra pull? Have kite designers ever made adjustable ...

Maybe you can find a buddy or two to share the trainer with? You could share the cost & learn together.

Re: Inflatable LEI Trainers

I ordered a 2 line trainer by mistake. Glad I found this thread to confirm that I should return it since I haven't even open the package yet. Still trying to find good beginner info about kites. Wish there was a kite shop nearby... A 2 line trainer can be fine for learning the basics of kite contro...
