And most important 2 lengths 6mm 5ply kauri sandwiched with 6oz glass ontop, think 5mm would be better thou if you can find it.

Here is the template i used courtesy of baracudda!. Print a4 size. Rocker loss is close to 1-1.5cm i think. so set up the rocker to have about 5 - 6cm. Board is quite big so get going pretty easy. Its the board, screws around the outside pull the 2 sheets of ply together. You still need to add weights and clamps to the middle section of the board.

and it can be a nightmare when it breaks. Kite loops constantly, or leash/flagging line breaks. I learnt the hard way easier to just replace or shorten lines.

Christop in NZ is it? I'm ex-Chch myself ... where will you be riding? The strap between the outside lines (actually brake lines on open cell foils) is a brake line for self-landing or holding it on the ground for launching. Havnt been and unsure really where is best but snowfarm to get use to it f...

Thanks i guess i just need to get out and try my inflatables. Also i see in videos most of the foils have a strap between the two back lines to help loop the kite faster. can i mod my LEI's like this or do the loop tight enough as it is.

Hi, I'm 6' 175lbs. I was on a skywalker 131 for a couple years and decided to try the Influence 138, it tool a little getting used to but I really like the size now. I was thinking about the134 but a glad I decided on the 138, also the 34 would be too small for boots. get 138 34 is to small.... boo...

differences between foils and lei in backcountry snowkiting

Is it worth geting a foil for backcountry kiting? thinking something from ozone or flysufer/peter lyn. I have 9m rev 08 and 12m havoc 08 but can see problems with packing down the kite and carry a pump everwhere. I think i be using kite to get up and freeriding down when possible. any advice? pros a...
