Re: Jimmy Lewis Kwad or New Shack ???

I've ridden all three. Compared to the Chamber, the newer Shack has been thinned out and the profile has been refined. Jimmy felt that the tail on the Chamber was a little abrupt and so he blended the curve a little more on the Shack resulting in a smoother carve. The thinner board makes for more fl...

Re: Jimmy Lewis M3 vs Wainman Joke/Blunt

Hi Mike, I'm the JL distributor, so a little biased, but also honest. I've owned the Wainman boards as well as all the JLs of course. ALL very good, but completely different animals. The model 3 is stiffer and with softer rails. The result is that it powers through chop smoothly and it carves like a...

Re: Repairing/patching Jimmy lewis board....

The best repair would be to mix up some epoxy with some micro-balloons or cavacyl. That is a thickener that will bring the epoxy to a peanut butter consistency. If the chip or crack is not too big, you won't need any fiberglass for the repair. Spread the epoxy mix into chip and squeegee it flush to ...

Re: Nobile NHP or Jimmy Lewis Model 3?

Hey Doug, Good to do research. Both are good boards of course. But he's right, they're very different. What are your height, weight, and riding conditions? What style do you prefer (wave, flat, super aggressive freestyle?). I'm Jimmy's distributor so of course, I'm biased. But just to clarify, Jimmy...

Re: shark attack prevention?

This may be a bit much to expect in a traumatic situation, but if you know how to do it, and you're waiting for help, a tourniquet could stop the bleeding. See the link below on how to effectively create one. The key parts of the tourniquet could be made with the kite leash and kiteboard used as a w...

Re: fatal shark attack

http://www.tcpalm.com/news/2010/feb/05/shark-attack-probably-feeding-event-says-expert-he/ Latest news is that the autopsy is revealing more. Probably a tiger or bull shark, approx 9 ft long. Definitely an intentional attack to damage and feed--not just a mistaken identity bite-and-leave. There's a...
