Re: Help me choose my lightwind Ozone

I can use the Catalyst 14m for lightwind riding, but I only weight about 150lbs. I would imagine if you weight 200lbs, then it would be a beneficial for you to get the 17m zephyr. Both do not turn nearly as fast as the C4's though. http://www.airpadrekiteboarding.com/site_images/store/items/kites/oz...

Re: Recommendations Surfer and Kiter for October

South Padre Island, Texas has strong winds in October. Also, they push up the swell to surf, or do long surf-side down winders on.

Re: Best kite for 30-45 knots?

Windrider, I like lower aspect kites in higher winds because they tends to be less surgy. A little more constant pull as opposed to on/off. But that's my opinion, others may differ...

Re: Best kite for 30-45 knots?

Wainman Hawaii Bunny 5m is pretty sick in high winds! Been thinking about getting one for the really strong days.

Re: skimboad what to look for?

Slotstik skimboards! don't settle for a cheap skim, its always worth it to spend money on your board. Also, stay away from anything with fins on it....

Re: The Best Kite Town

The only off season for wind in South Padre is the end of summer, but that is the busiest time of the year for tourists and people visiting the island, so there is stuff to do. Winter can be pretty quiet, but you can also do downwinders everyday since the wind is cranking. Also, no need for wetsuits...
